State Consumer Protection Laws to Stop Unfair and Deceptive Marketing of Kids' Foods and Beverages

This map, based on research from 2010 and 2011, provides links to state consumer protection law profiles.

State consumer protection law provides an opportunity to put a stop to marketing practices for obesity promoting products for kids that are outright deceptive or, in some cases, simply unfair because of who is being targetted. Stakeholders in children's health can take action under some of these laws as can state attorneys general.
